Reference Requests

Do you need resources for an assignment?

You can request resources through our Request Literature Search form!

  • Do you need it by a certain date?                                                                 
  • Do you need a certain number of resources?
  • Do you need the resources published in specific years?
  • Do you only need journal articles? Books?                                                 
  • Is it for an assignment, presentation, publication, etc?

Fill out the Literature Search Request form for what you NEED!

All you need is your name and LSUA email!

 

InterLibrary Loan (ILL)

What is InterLibrary Loan (ILL)?

ILL is a library service that allows current students, faculty, and staff to obtain materials that are not available in the LSUA Library.

How do you make requests?

  1. First, you need an account!
    1. Go here: InterLibrary Loan (ILL) page
    2. Click Submit ILL Request
    3. Click First Time Users
    4. Fill out the necessary fields and Submit Information
    5. You are ready to make requests!
  2. You can request sources two ways:
    1. By clicking Submit ILL Request on the ILL page
    2. Or, clicking Request this item through interlibrary loan in the databases
  3. Before you request an item:
    1. Google the item to see if you can find it online for free
      1. If you find it online, but it requires payment, do not pay
    2. Ask yourself "When do I need this item?"
      1. Print books can take 1-2 weeks to arrive
      2. Electronic resources, like eBooks and journal articles, can take a few days

How do I receive requests?

  1. Did you request a...
    1. Print Book? You can pick it up at the library Service Desk!
    2. Electronic resource? You will receive it via email!
