It is important to fill out the Free Application for Federal Financial Aid (FAFSA) as a college student to receive grants and loans. It can be intimidating, but it does not have to be! There are resources and people who are here to help you with any questions you may have.
What do you need to fill it out?
- Your social security number
- Your alien registration number (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
- Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned
- Bank statements and records of investments (if applicable)
- Records of untaxed income (if applicable)
- An FSA ID to sign electronically
